It’s apparently standard practice to include privacy policy pages on websites nowadays. Here’s ours.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Contact forms
When you sign up for our newsletter or fill out a guided trip info request, we will generally add your e-mail address and name to our mailing list. We use these mailing lists only to send out occasional newsletters or to contact previous clients about potential guided trips or with other news that might interest them. We do not otherwise use, share, or sell this information and will never do so.
Cookies
We have no idea if WordPress (the back-end platform on which this site is built, which a majority of the world’s websites now use) collects cookies from visitors. If it does, we never see them and do nothing with them. We’re not tracking you around the Internet for nefarious purposes, though WordPress might be…
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We don’t share your data with anybody. How’s that for refreshing in this day and age?
How long we retain your data
If you contact us or sign up for our newsletter, we retain this information indefinitely. If you would like to have your name removed from our files, please let us know.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
